Elías Suárez Garmendia

Elías Suárez Garmendia, born in San Sebastián, Spain, on March 30, 1972, is a third-generation member of the family that founded the corporate Grupo Amasua. He holds a degree in law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master’s in Corporate Legal Counsel from the Instituto de Empresa. He joined Grupo Amasua in 1997, first as Legal Counsel, becoming General Manager in 2003, CEO in 2019, and President in 2020. An expert in fisheries law, he has participated in legal advisory for commercial operations in the fishing and shipbuilding sectors, carrying out his professional work in countries such as Argentina, Chile, the US, Japan, Scotland, France, Portugal, South Africa, Namibia, and Mozambique, among others.
