Human Rights Programme Manager

Froukje Kruijssen works as a Human Rights Programme manager at the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC). ASC is an independent not-for-profit organisation that manages a certification scheme for responsible aquaculture. In this role, Froukje leads ASC's work on community engagement and indigenous rights and supports the work on all other aspects of ASC's social standards and other human rights programming such as worker voice, living wage and gender equality. Before joining ASC, Froukje worked for 20 years in research and consulting, among others at WorldFish and the Royal Tropical Institute, where she conducted research on issues of inclusive (fisheries and aquaculture) value chains and responsible business conduct.
