Jordy van Honk works as the Global Director of Living Wage and Living Income at IDH. In this role, he collaborates closely with IDH partners on the Living Wage and Living Income Roadmaps within different sectors and landscapes. Recently, Jordy was the lead organizer for the 2024 Amsterdam Living Wage and Income Summit.
Jordy is part of the Global Management Team of IDH. Over the past years, he has been involved in many leading supply chain initiatives on living wages and living income. Examples include working with 24 European retailers to achieve living wages for workers in banana plantations in South America and Africa, engaging in multi-stakeholder initiatives to secure living incomes for cocoa smallholder farmers in West Africa, and promoting living wages for tea pluckers in East Africa.
Jordy holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam. Before joining IDH in 2010, he worked for the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Government of the Netherlands in its Industry and Trade Department. He lives in Amsterdam with his wife and son.
