Mercedes Mendoza leads SFP’s Advisory Services work. She helps users of SFP’s Seafood Metrics tool obtain the necessary data for their CSR and ESG reporting, follows up on progress evaluations of their sustainability commitments, and provides information to help improve the state of the fisheries and aquaculture farms they source from.
Mercedes has extensive experience in frozen oil fish trade and customer relationship management. Before coming to SFP, she worked on the implementation, management, and coordination of European research projects and managed laboratories, research projects, and staff for ECIMAT, a marine research center at the University of Vigo. She was a hatchery manager at seabream, seabass, and turbot farms in Spain and Portugal. She has a degree in Marine Sciences.
