Rezaur Rahman is a British Bangladeshi with over 35 years of trade experience in London and across Europe and Asia. He has made it his personal mission to bring the Bangladeshi shrimp to global markets and showcase the unique taste and size of Bangladeshi Geographically Identified (GI) extensively farmed shrimp. He has taken on this ambitious challenge by building a state-of-the-art shrimp processing factory in Khulna, and he is now supplying his products globally.
His company has signed an MOU with the Monterey Bay Aquarium to improve Bangladeshi shrimp aquaculture practices. The aim is to uplift the livelihoods of local farmers, serve the international market with sustainably farmed shrimp, and maintain quality from the factory to end users in fine dining experiences.
