Ivan Bartolo

Ivan works with government and industry stakeholders to facilitate seafood trade across the UK border. He is a food science and seafood regulation expert who has worked in regulation, technical management and food research in the UK and abroad. When he joined Seafish in 2013, his first role was to improve catch quality on fishing vessels, and he racked up more than 40 sea-fishing trips. Ivan holds master’s degrees in Food Technology and in Applied Toxicology. He is President of the Seafood Importers and Processors Alliance (SIPA) and a board member of the International Association of Fish Inspectors (IAFI).
