Senior Coordinator for Green House Gasses

Dr. Robert Parker is a life cycle assessment (LCA) specialist and researcher based in New Brunswick, Canada. He has worked on methodological development of LCA and applications of environmental modeling to both wild capture fisheries and aquaculture. His PhD studies quantified the energy inputs and carbon footprint of the world’s fisheries, and he has undertaken assessments of the Antarctic krill fishery, reduction fisheries for meal and oil, the global tuna fleet, ocean- and land-based salmon farming, and other seafood systems. He is currently the greenhouse gas coordinator for the Aquaculture Stewardship Council.
