Robbert Blonk, PhD

Robbert Blonk, PhD., is Director of Research and Development with Hendrix Genetics Aquaculture B.V., the Netherlands. He is responsible for the Hendrix Genetics aquaculture breeding programs and product development for Atlantic salmon in Scotland and Chili, Rainbow trout in the U.S.A., and white leg shrimp in the U.S.A. and Ecuador, as well as the management of genetic support to major third party programs for several major salmon production companies in Scotland and Chili. Robbert did a Ph.D. in quantitative genetics in aquaculture at Wageningen UR, Animal Breeding and Genomics group and works with Hendrix Genetics since 2016.
