Ted van der Put works since 2017 as an independent consultant supporting companies and other organizations to develop and implement (more) sustainable strategies. Next to this he is an Executive Advisor of IDH, the Sustainable Trade Initiative, providing leadership support to a number of their programs – e.g. aquaculture, coffee, timber and electronics - and he is non-executive Chairman of the Board of Meridia. More recently Ted has been hired as mentor, trainer and lecturer on Collaborative Transformation and System Change to make International Trade more sustainable.
Ted joined IDH as Programme Director in 2010. His professional background was in several international management positions at Philips Electronics including as CEO of the Philips Lighting Innovation group (1996-2000), as CEO of the Philips Lighting Solutions activities in Europe (2001-2004) and as CEO of the Philips Enabling Technologies Group (2004-2009).
