Driving Consumption: Global Shrimp Council and Lessons Learned from Other Food Producers
In this session, the Global Shrimp Council will present its views on promoting shrimp consumption in the US and other markets worldwide. We will hear from Miguel Barcenas, who has extensive experience marketing various food products, including Mexican avocados. However, we won't let Miguel go unchallenged. Katherine Bryar and Masie Ganzler will also share their experiences marketing other food products. Before joining Biomar, Katherine successfully marketed egg consumption in Australia. Masie Ganzler, as Chief Brand and Strategy Officer, has overseen many successful and less successful marketing efforts for food products and recently shared some of those lessons in her book, You Can't Sell Manure at Lunch. Allan Cooper, who was deeply involved in Peru's avocado marketing efforts before joining the shrimp industry, will moderate the discussions.
